Cornerstone - counseling services in Quincy, IL

Counseling Services

Cornerstone provides mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and children. We serve clients of all ages who are experiencing a variety of life's challenges. Cornerstone therapists are trained to provide Client-Directed, Outcome-Informed services. This approach, one that is unique to this area, insures that our client needs are met, and provides for more positive outcomes.

How to get the most from your counseling at Cornerstone Family Services.Cornerstone is an Employee Assistance Program provider for some local businesses. Call our office to find out if your employer offers this EAP benefit.

Cornerstone offers specialized counseling, at no charge, to families who have adoptive and subsidized guardianship children in their care. These services are provided through a contract with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

Our business office will gladly direct bill insurance companies for our clients. We also provide counseling services to our clients on an ability to pay basis using a sliding fee scale formula.

 

Psychiatric Services

Dr. Carolyn Seifert and Reggie Westhoff, APN provide psychiatric assessment and medication management services at Cornerstone one day per week.

Casework Services

We provide casework services to several specialized client groups. Casework services are preventive in nature and share the goals of preventing child abuse and neglect and avoiding involvement with the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. These services are funded by the Illinois Departments of Human Services and Children and Family Services. Certain eligibility factors must be met to receive services. Casework services are available to:

  • First time mothers

  • Homeless Youth

  • Children at-risk of involvement with juvenile justice system

  • Families seeking assistance obtaining guardianship for children in their care
